Introducing your puppy to grooming from an early age is extremely important.                                   * It  builds lifelong habits.                                                   * Prevents coat problems                                                     *Helps with health checks                                                 * Supports emotional development .                            * It builds trust with the groomer.                                  * Supports owner eduction.                                                                                                                                                 Puppy grooms start from when they are fully vaccinated, usually around 12 weeks old. Depending how quickly they adjust it takes about  four sessions before they are ready for their 'full grooms'.  This of course depends on their breed and state of the coat. It is important that you groom your puppy each day as coat matting usually results in a 'clip off' for their welfare. 

Puppy sessions are completely force free. I only do whatever they are happy with along with lots of praise and cuddles. On their first session I introduce them to bathing and drying. Following sessions I will do more such as clipper introduction of sanitary areas, eye and paw trim and nails. I ask you to bring your own treats to avoid any upset tummies!

A full groom is much more than 'just a haircut'! It's a complete head to tail pamper designed to keep your dog healthy, comfortable and feeling their best. Every dog is groomed on a calm 1-2-1 basis so they have my full attention throughout. 

Your dog will experience -

*General health check. Dogs with high maintenance coats such as 'doodles' will need to be groomed every 6-8 weeks. This will help with matting but they will need to be brushed daily at home to avoid the 'clip off'.

* Lumps and bumps

* Parasites

*Coat quality

Nail clipping is always included with a groom as long as the dog is happy for me to do so.

I offer a nail clipping service for anyone who would like to bring their pet to me instead of taking them to the vet. I also do cats and small furries too!

Ideal for any dogs needing a "bit of a pamper " and to get out the dead coat. High quality products are used suited to their coat and skin type. This is followed by a a blow-dry and de-shed!

Ultrasonic teeth cleaning is a gentle, non-invasive way to help remove plaque and tartar from your dogs teeth. It works using high frequency sound waves and water to break down build up on the teeth and along the gum line.

It's ideal for maintaining oral hygiene between veterinary dental procedures but does not replace the vet.
